San Jose, California December 27, 2013 – San Jose based Sun-Net Consulting Inc., specializing in developing operations software tools for the utility industry, announced that Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation has purchase Sun-Net’s Transmission Outage Application (TOA®) software suite.
Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation (Central Hudson) is a regulated transmission and distribution utility serving approximately 300,000 electric customers and 75,000 natural gas customers in a defined service territory of New York State’s Mid-Hudson River Valley. Central Hudson owns substations having an aggregate transformer capacity of 5.0 million kilovolt amps. Central Hudson’s electric transmission system consists of 629 pole miles of line. The electric distribution system consists of 7,300 pole miles of overhead lines and 1,400 trench miles of underground lines, as well as customer service lines and meters.
“TOA® suite will provide Central Hudson an integrated software solution for management of scheduled outages, switching order management, interruption entry, operator logging, reporting and analytics. TOA® suite will also provide Central Hudson direct integration to New York ISO (NYISO’s) Outage Scheduling System.
