About this program
Sun-Net, Inc. operates the iTOA System Check-in text message program as part of its iTOA operations platform. The program lets registered iTOA users record their arrival at and departure from electrical substations and work sites by text message, creating an entry in their organization’s electronic operations log. It is an internal operational and worker-safety program. It is not available to the general public and is not used for marketing of any kind.
Who can participate
Participation is limited to people who hold a named iTOA user account — substation technicians, field crews, and control room staff — whose work mobile number has been recorded on that account by their organization’s iTOA administrator. A message sent from a mobile number that is not registered to an iTOA account receives a single reply and no further messages.
How to opt in
Text HI to [+1 XXX XXX XXXX] to check in at a substation. About 4–8 msgs per site visit. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out. Terms: sunnetsoftware.com/itoa-sms-terms
Text HI to [+1 XXX XXX XXXX] from your registered work mobile number. You will receive a reply confirming enrollment and asking for the substation, the purpose of your visit, and the expected duration. Replying with those details confirms your enrollment and records your check-in. Text HI again when you leave the site to record your check-out.
Message frequency
You receive messages only in response to a message you send. This program does not send scheduled, recurring, bulk, or promotional messages. Expect approximately 4–8 messages per site visit.
Cost
There is no charge to participate. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message to end participation. You will receive one confirmation message and no further messages. If you opt out, record substation check-ins directly in iTOA or by contacting your control center.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any message, contact your supervisor, or contact Sun-Net at info@sncsw.com or 408-323-1318.
Carriers and delivery
Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, and others. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier’s network and cannot be guaranteed. Because this program supports worker safety, do not rely on SMS alone in an emergency — follow your organization’s emergency procedures.
Changes to this program
Sun-Net may modify or discontinue this program at any time. Material changes will be posted on this page.
Privacy
See the iTOA System Check-in SMS Privacy Notice for how information collected through this program is handled. Mobile numbers collected through this program are never shared with third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.
