San Jose, California, December 26, 2019 – San Jose based Sun-Net Inc., specializing in grid operations software tools, announced that it has been awarded the contract for Sun-Net Inc.’s iTOA® software suite by Southern California Edison (SCE).
SCE is the largest subsidiary of Edison International, and the primary electricity supply company for much of Southern California. It provides 15 million people with electricity across a service territory of approximately 50,000 square miles, connecting with Los Angeles Department of Water and Power, San Diego Gas & Electric, Imperial Irrigation District (Sun-Net Customer), and some smaller municipal utilities serving substantial portions of the southern California territory.
“Sun-Net will work with SCE to replace their current homegrown outage request and logging system with modern, secure, robust iTOA enterprise software. iTOA will provide an integrated system with capabilities to manage Distribution, Transmission, Generation and Telecom outages with resource scheduling and CAISO WebOMS integration.
